This family with three active boys made for a lively family portrait session! Their youngest son is so cute! He looks like a doll in these portraits. Mom was a big help by putting him back in the studio lights every time he crawled away. I was pleased that we were able to "catch" their personalities in this family portrait session from last Wednesday. I have included my favorites from the session for your viewing pleasure.

A Presidential Portrait of Weston
Weston was my first client that I tried out a new setup in my studio. I had the flag background setup the opposite side of my regular studio setup. It is the same wall that I use for window light. The flag portrait was a one-light setup with a 4' X 6' foot reflector bouncing light back into the subject. I've included Weston's favorites, but the flag portrait is my favorite of Weston. He looks like he would make a pretty good president if you ask me!
Darren's Favorite 8th Grade Graduate Portraits
Darren enjoys spending time on the computer so I put together a collage with a computer image that we took in the studio. The computer image and his outside portraits were Darren's favorites from his portrait session and I have included them for you to enjoy....
Quesia's Favorite 8th Grade Graduation Portraits
I try to find out what my client likes before their portrait session, so when I asked Quesia's mom about what she is like, she said she is "girly." So I brought out a mirror for a reflection image and pink rose petals for Quesia's pink outfit and those two are also my favorites from her session. I've included some of Quesia's favorites from her session for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Marjorie's Cap and Gown Portraits
I just love how the red background goes with Marjorie's blue cap and gown. Marjorie was a willing subject and provided some crazy expressions during her photo session. I told her to just pretend she was in school and use expressions she was familiar with! Ha! We also used a new green floral background and an old background that I decided would go well with the bible portrait. I have included my favorites from her session for your viewing pleasure....

March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb
As I looked out of our office window today, I couldn't believe what I saw. Huge and plenty of snowflakes dropping from the sky. It was beautiful!!!! I quickly grabbed my camera and took some photos before this short March snowfall ended. Here are a few shots of the snow falling out on the flint hills of Kansas. Enjoy!

Katilin's favorites
Katilin chose the first portrait as her 8x10 for display at the graduation ceremony with the remaining wallets that she will pass out to her friends and family. The outfit she wore with the damask white and black background makes for a strikingly beautiful portrait that it is no wonder she chose that as her favorite!
Ethan's favorites
These are the favorites Ethan chose from his 8th Grade Portrait Special. The first photo will be an 8x10 that he will display during the graduation ceremony that will be held at Riddle Hall in May. The remaining are wallet prints that comes with the package special.
