Miranda in the snow...

Miranda wanted at least one of her senior sessions in the snow.  I normally like to do outside sessions in the evening before sunset, but Miranda was busy Saturday evening so we scheduled for Saturday morning.  Thank God we did as the snow melted all day Saturday and it would have been a mess with little snow remaining.  The first pic of her in the snow was on my front porch.  I'm glad my husband didn't clean the porch off yet as it yielded quite a bit of snow without having to walk a distance for it!  Here are some of my favorites from her first senior session on Saturday.  Enjoy!!!

Back country tour in the desert

We rode in a Humvee to Joshua Tree National Park.  It was a pretty neat experience to take the back country ride in a military-type vehicle.  If you didn't wear your seat belt, you would not have been able to remain in the vehicle!  We were at a point that you could see the mountains of Mexico if you looked real hard.  Here are some of the pics we were able to take during the tour. Enjoy!

From a blizzard to the desert...

My husband and I rented a vacation home in Palm Springs, California, for a week.  We barely made it out from Kansas City due to the horrendous storm that hit the area. We both love to swim and this home has a private heated pool that we will enjoy during our stay.  Here are a few of the pics I took from the backyard the day after our arrival.  The sky here is so blue.  I did nothing to touch up the skies in these pics.  Enjoy!

A snowy day in the country...

I love the snow.  Always have.  God is so good to give us so many beautiful things to enjoy!  It was in the single digits when I took these pics in my yard.  Enjoy!

Coming home...

I was sitting on my porch watching our pets down at the pond.  The lighting was good as the sun was about to set so I grabbed the camera then we called our "babies."  They came a running. It is so fun to watch them run!!! This is the first pic that was taken as they crested the hill. I moved them a little closer together in the pic using Photoshop.  Enjoy!

Berry Family Christmas Portraits

The Berry family did Christmas card portraits with me this year.  Since they wanted to surprise their family with the portraits, they didn't want me to post the pictures till after Christmas. Their Christmas card is on my website with a nice family portrait on it.  Here are some of my favorites from their session.  Enjoy!

Rare Lunar Eclipse

This eclipse only comes around every few hundred years.  NASA predicted that it would be colorful with red/orange colors, but for some reason the colors didn't show up from the Kansas area.  I was fortunate that I was able to get some shots as the clouds were skimming over the moon.  The first shot is before the eclipse, then the last three are a partial, half, and full eclipse.  Enjoy!
