Miranda and Joshua's Wedding

There's nothing that compares to a beautiful Apostolic wedding and this one was no exception!  Miranda and Josh are a couple that are a perfect fit and they were a joy to photograph!  I normally only use about a dozen images for a wedding blogpost but I had to share more of my favorites with you. :)  They were also featured in June's issue of Wichita's community voice newsletter here.

Thanks Miranda and Josh for trusting Capturing The Moment Photography to capture the beauty and love of your special day!

Fabian's HS Senior Portraits in Colorado

It was an overcast day when traveling to Colorado Springs. The sun appeared as though it might show through just before sunset.  I was hoping for a sunset with the mountains in the background and God blessed us with being at the right spot at the right time to capture this awesome mountain sunset background. First we stopped at an abandoned house and shot the first two images below.  I didn't realize that Colorado Springs doesn't get a lot of snow, so we were fortunate in that we were able to get snowy images for the rest of his portraits.  I have included some of Fabian's favorite portraits which also happen to be my favorites too!  Enjoy!

An enjoyable and delightful couple!

For our second session with this lovely couple, we did both studio and outdoor portraits. Thank the Lord the weather cleared up in the nick of time to do the outdoor portraits.  I thoroughly enjoyed photographing this couple who kept me laughing practically the whole time!  They relayed some horrible photography experiences that they had in their home state of Alabama, and were so relieved that I was able to accommodate them during their visit to Kansas last month.  They liked every pose from their session that they ordered a collage of them all. Like their last session, they ordered Christmas cards and their collage and Christmas card are available to view on our website design services page here.  Below are all the poses from the session for your viewing pleasure.

Five cute cousins and a donkey encounter

Megan wasn't overly thrilled to get her 1-year-old portraits so we used some props to entice her.  The first rocking chair prop provided us some darling expressions as she rock happily along!  After the rocker, we grabbed a quick shot before she ventured off and this second image below proved to be her mom's favorites image of the session. Mawmaw gathered the cousins for a group shot before we changed to window light with Megan with the wooden horse prop.  Outside, you couldn't ask for a better day to capture these darling cousins in the beautiful morning light against a colorful autumn background.  We finished the session off with our donkeys while Megan was introduced to Ozark and Emmy Lou who also celebrated her 1st birthday that day.  The last portrait collage shows Megan's cute expressions from her donkey encounter!  We have included the clients favorite images below for your viewing pleasure!

Military family of four portraits

It was an honor to photograph this beautiful family before the dad left for deployment.  Because we were able to use our new kid's sofa from www.burlingtoncoatfactory.com, the little ones were eager to try it out.  They look simply adorable and so grown up posed on the sofa!  We planned ahead of time to use the camouflage background and the family chose outfits with a perfect fit!  I have included their favorite poses from the session for your viewing pleasure....

Three siblings in a tree!

This is our second session with these three darling siblings.  This session was also outdoors as their first session but with black and white and color in mind.  It was difficult to decide which ones I favored in color and black and white.  We ended the session posing on an old tree limb which I favored in color. I've included that pose along with my other favorites for you to enjoy!
