Never too early for Christmas portraits

This family of six is getting an early start on their Christmas portraits this year.  They plan to also do a session in the fall to complete their Christmas portraits.  Their daughter is such a doll!  She took great delight in the pose where the family walked and swung her while walking.  I enjoyed this session with this beautiful family and am looking forward to doing their portraits in the fall.  I have included my favorites from this morning's session.  Enjoy!

J'Nessa and Casey's Wedding

J'Nessa and Casey's wedding was beautifully decorated with the colors of sage and brown, including the color of their sand for their unity sand ceremony which they poured into a shadow box frame. The day started out cloudy providing an ominous cloud backdrop for the groomsmen outside the sanctuary. The weather cleared before their portraits on the pier overlooking the old Smoky Hill River channel behind Wal-Mart. J'Nessa and Casey are such a fun-loving couple!  At the Marriott during their reception, J'Nessa just had too much fun smashing Casey with wedding cake and teasing the single girls during the bouquet toss! The audience laughed hysterically as Corey, a groomsman, recalled some humorous occasions when he use to room with Casey. This dear couple looked so much in love before they departed on their honeymoon in Estes Park, Colorado.

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.  (NIV Numbers 6:24-26)

Andrea & Trey's Wedding

This wedding is the first time we photographed that we didn't get to meet the client in person beforehand.  I've never seen these colors before at a wedding, and when Andrea first told me her colors were red and navy blue, I had no idea how beautiful those colors would look.  As you can see by my favorites, those colors were beautifully decorated at their reception at the Century Plaza in Wichita.  I thought it was unique that the men's boutonniere contained a key and the bride/bridesmaids had hearts on their bouquet, and also the red and blue flags that the guests waved at the couple outside before they departed on their honeymoon.  What a blessing it was to photograph this beautiful wedding of a truly lovely couple!  Their wedding album can be viewed here.
