An Elegant Studio Session!

Tamara looked elegantly beautiful in her four outfits she wore during her studio session at Capturing The Moment Photography.  To get the props color coordinated, I changed the color of two chairs and one stool; most noticeably an orange chair to the color blue and a gold stool to a shade of mint green to match her high-heel shoes.  Tamara's portraits made an inexpensive, outdoor lawn chair look like a beautiful prop!  I've included most of Tamara's favorites but I just totally LOVE the first one shown below where she naturally posed herself!  Tamara, I'm so looking forward to your casual studio session with your "missing" accessory! :)

Natalie and Andrew's 4- and 2-year-old Portrait Session

We had a lot of fun with Natalie and Andrew's 4- and 2-year-old portrait session!  Mawmaw is always such a great help during their portraits and was instrumental in getting Andrew to cross his legs for his portraits :)  She spent several hours before the session making Natalie's dress that went beautifully with our blush background!  Though we spent only 20 minutes during this session, we were delighted to capture these adorable siblings personality! The family ordered custom albums from this session and a canvas gallery wrap that I have included below along with my favorites from their session. Enjoy!

A petticoat, mirror, a spin and more...

In this image, Chante' is beautifully posed and window-lit with her shoes placed as a prop on top of her gorgeous graduation dress (more comments below).

Chante' looks serious here but she could hardly stop giggling at how I looked while standing on a ladder on my tippy toes!

This mirror portrait is a substitute of a pose we were planning since I shattered the glass of the mirror before the session!  We have since fixed the mirror and will be doing a reflection mirror pose at her next session outdoors.

We took several of Chante' spinning and this is her favorite image of the whole session.

Chante' didn't think we could get images of her shoes since her dress was so long, but we figured out a way! :)

Doesn't she portray elegance in our gold, I mean, red chair!?!  Thank God for Adobe Lightroom!!! :)

We wanted a variety of backgrounds and this blush background went perfect with her graduation dress...

and this black parasol against the blush background.

We finished up the session with a few with this outfit and this is her favorite with this outfit. Thanks for looking!

Sean's Christmas Portraits

Sean brought his parents along to do some family portraits along with some of his favorite toys.  He was quite an active little fellow so we moved along at a face pace to get a variety of poses.  I don't usually use muslin backgrounds as I don't like that wrinkled background look, but we were able to shoot at a wider aperture to blur the background.  I really like how their dressy outfits went with this black background.  We used Sean's car and ball as props in the other backgrounds to match his other outfit.  I have included my favorites from their session for you to enjoy! :)
