Ambrielle Grace at 12 days old

What a darling, BEAUTIFUL baby girl!  Ambrielle Grace was 12 days old when she came for her first portraits yesterday.  We started with studio lighting in a wicker basket on top of my bedroom dresser.  Thanks Ron for helping me haul the dresser into the studio!  The second part of the session with window lighting was the clients favorites.  We covered the mom in white material as a background for Ambrielle's detail shots except for the one with dad holding her in his jacket.  Ambrielle, you are just so cute!  It's going to be fun watching you grow!

Elisha's Maternity Portraits

We had planned this maternity session months ago which gave us plenty of time to think about the clothing, background, and poses.  Once the date was set, I don't know who was more excited, me or Elisha!  Her coral and black outfit went perfect with our brown canvas background which allowed her to show her matching coral shoes.  Baby Mikey didn't want to be left out and decided to start kicking during the pose shown below. The black and white image of Elisha against the window is our favorite image and I just had to show her from my camera LCD screen how beautiful she looked after the shot was taken.  After the portrait dressed in white tops with our blush background, we headed outside.  Since it was windy, we drove our truck down to the wooded gully to capture the three outside images shown below.  As we were driving out of the woods, the pasture looked so beautiful and golden that we took a few moments to take advantage of the setting which went perfect with their yellow and lime-green tops.  Included below are our favorites from the session.  Enjoy!

 

Anna at Mid-America Piano

Mid-America was so kind to allow us to take Anna's piano portraits at their business a couple weeks ago.  On one of my favorites poses, I replaced the background which is the first one shown below.  Anna looks so elegant in her portraits with the various grand pianos.  I caught her natural smile as she was talking to the owner in the sepia portrait below (second to last).  Her and my favorite was the last portrait taken as we were leaving.  There was a row of pianos in fluorescent colors and Anna was lit by beautiful window light with a colorful background.  It is the last one in this blog post.  Enjoy!
