Anna's Studio Session ~ Cap and Gown
Since we captured Anna outside and in her element on her previous sessions, we focused this studio session on Anna's cap and gown portraits in the studio and three dressy outfits. Since A.A. seniors' graduation T-shirts will be red, white and blue, we went with a red, white, and a blue backgrounds for her cap and gown portraits. My intention is to get to know the high school seniors as much as possible so that I can portray their personalities in their portraits, and I hope I have done that with Anna's portraits from her session shown below. I so appreciated her mom coming along as she was such a blessing during Anna's session!

Two cute farm mousers!
We recently acquired two farm cats to help alleviate mice from building nests in our tractor and rabbits from chewing wires on our car. Yes, it was rabbits! We drove to church one night and the car was not running right. The next day my husband opened the hood and out jumps a rabbit! Needless to say, my husband was convinced we now needed cats! Boy, was I happy! I love animals and now I have a couple more that I can spoil and enjoy capturing their cuteness!!! I teased the black and white one by opening the screen door a bit and just adore the image below where he is sticking his paw through the screen. I've named that photo "cat burglars." You can see the gray cat in the background of that image keeping watch like a real burglar! The last image of the grey cat shows his loving personality. He is the most lovable cat I have ever met. If you are a cat lover like me, I know you will enjoy the images I've included below.... :)

A trail of dust, a muddy horse, and a laughing donkey
It felt good to finally get outside during our spring weather and take pictures of our happy animals as they they were let out into the pasture. Both the horses splashed in the pond and got wet, but Ace decided to roll in the dirt after he got out so he got pretty muddy! I had a hay day capturing our babies as they enjoyed their new found freedom! Jane, one of the donkeys, was having so much fun you can see her laughing below! :) I picked out my favorites from the photography excursion and have included them for your viewing pleasure!

Janelle's Studio Session ~ Cap and Gown
We completed Janelle's final session in the studio along with her cap and gown portraits. I liked Janelle's choice of clothing as it went well with her skin tones. We used four different backgrounds to compliment her outfits, and I must say I'm having a hard time to determine which ones are my favorites from her session. I told Janelle that she was probably the most elegantly posed senior that I have ever photographed. She was a natural! I have selected some from her studio session and included them for you to enjoy!

Anna at Mid-America Piano
Mid-America was so kind to allow us to take Anna's piano portraits at their business a couple weeks ago. On one of my favorites poses, I replaced the background which is the first one shown below. Anna looks so elegant in her portraits with the various grand pianos. I caught her natural smile as she was talking to the owner in the sepia portrait below (second to last). Her and my favorite was the last portrait taken as we were leaving. There was a row of pianos in fluorescent colors and Anna was lit by beautiful window light with a colorful background. It is the last one in this blog post. Enjoy!

My favorite Valentines
Capturing the Moment Photography set up shop at Faith Tabernacle's Valentine Banquet at Riddle Hall on Valentine's Day. All proceeds from the portraits were donated to Apostolic Academy's HS seniors for their upcoming senior trip to Branson, Missouri. I teased some of the couples and asked them, on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being less romantic and 10 most romantic, how would they rate how romantic they wanted their portrait. One spouse told me 0, another 15!!! These two couples were included in my top 10 favorites from the Valentine portrait sessions shown below.
