Two sisters and their awesome brother!

Gabby was looking forward to her K5 graduate portrait session.  Our plans were to photograph Gabby, Alyssia, and Lucas first as a group but Lucas was sound asleep when he arrived.  Alyssia was hesitant at first but after Gabby was finished with her single images in the studio and Lucas woke up, Alyssia was ready for portraits.  As you can see by the images below she was enjoying herself!  It took a few poses to get Lucas fully woke up and the last pose with them on the floor is the clients' favorite.  Once we finished with the studio session we went outside for a few minutes to get Gabby with the wildflowers.  I have included some of my favorites from this session with these adorable sisters and their awesome brother!

Portrait in a tree

This client is a very dear friend of mine.  She was so looking forward to getting her portraits taken and I was so delighted to do so!  Their favorite is the third one down with her sitting in the tree.  We traveled to another friends property to do the tree portrait and on the way back we had to stop and take a few in some sunflowers that were by the side of the road.  I have included the client's favorites from the session for your viewing pleasure...

Anna in the Wheatfield and Wildflowers and a Curious Lizard!

This wheatfield was across the street from Anna's place.  You can see the Boyer's barn in the background of the second photo.  Anna's dog Duke loves to follow her around and at first I was trying to photograph Anna without Duke, but gave in as we were crunching for time.  If you look closely, you can see Duke right behind Anna in the fifth photo listed below.  On the last wheat photo, I had intended only to get a closeup of the wheat and told Anna that I wasn't getting her in the photo; but ended up really liking the cropped profile portrait.

The wildflower portraits were taken in my backyard using an outside flash since the sun was directly overhead.  During this session, a curious lizard ran nearby to watch us so we included it as part of the photo session.  :)

Anna's favorites from these two sessions are included below for you to enjoy!

Janelle - wildflowers - butterflies

I think these crown vetch wildflowers are so pretty.  These wildflowers are on the hillside at Geary Community Hospital.  I am having a hard time to decide which photo to submit for the senior portrait contest that is going on now through July 21.  If you will look close, you can see some yellow butterflies in the first and last photo.  Enjoy!

Horseplay and wildflowers

I feel privileged to have our horses, and watching them play is so entertaining!  Here are a few shots of Ace and Dakota playing and some wildflowers that are in abundance on our property. These wildflowers are the perfect background for little girl(s) outdoor portraits.

Enjoy!!!
