Darlisa and Leslie's Wedding
Darlisa and Leslie were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, September 20, at 1 pm, at Faith Tabernacle Church. Their reception was held in Riddle Hall which was beautifully decorated with the colors of royal blue and black and where they served American and Haitian food. There were lots of friends and family in attendance to celebrate this marriage union that I was privileged to photograph. I have included my favorite images that were captured at this event and have included them for your viewing pleasure. And by the way, I had the added benefit of feasting on the best tasting Haitian food on this side of heaven!!!

I love sunflowers!!!
It was so terribly hot last week when I decided to photograph the sunflowers in our pasture. Before heading out to photograph the sunflowers, I soaked myself with the garden hose and drove the truck out to our shed where the best batch of sunflowers decided to grow this year on our property. I knew I would be exhausted from the heat and would not want to carry the tripod back to the house afterwards. :) The last sunflower below was taken in the studio before heading outside to get the rest of the sunflower images. Hope you enjoy these lovely flowers of Kansas!

The cutest squishy baby face!!!
Two-week-old Lucas brought his mom and sister to our studio for his first portrait session last Wednesday. He brought two cute little outfits for his session and we provided him with a bear hat to wear as another adorable outfit that he wore laying in a wicker bowl with a blue blanket. He is very deep in thought in that pose as you will see below. I loved getting details shots of his little feet, ear, and his mom holding onto his tiny fingers. As we were finishing up the session he was pretty wiped out so we laid him on his mom's shoulder and placed his hands leaning on his face in such an adorable way. He has just the cutest squishy baby face! It is the last image below and my favorite of the session. Enjoy!

Never too early for Christmas portraits
This family of six is getting an early start on their Christmas portraits this year. They plan to also do a session in the fall to complete their Christmas portraits. Their daughter is such a doll! She took great delight in the pose where the family walked and swung her while walking. I enjoyed this session with this beautiful family and am looking forward to doing their portraits in the fall. I have included my favorites from this morning's session. Enjoy!
