A petticoat, mirror, a spin and more...

In this image, Chante' is beautifully posed and window-lit with her shoes placed as a prop on top of her gorgeous graduation dress (more comments below).

Chante' looks serious here but she could hardly stop giggling at how I looked while standing on a ladder on my tippy toes!

This mirror portrait is a substitute of a pose we were planning since I shattered the glass of the mirror before the session!  We have since fixed the mirror and will be doing a reflection mirror pose at her next session outdoors.

We took several of Chante' spinning and this is her favorite image of the whole session.

Chante' didn't think we could get images of her shoes since her dress was so long, but we figured out a way! :)

Doesn't she portray elegance in our gold, I mean, red chair!?!  Thank God for Adobe Lightroom!!! :)

We wanted a variety of backgrounds and this blush background went perfect with her graduation dress...

and this black parasol against the blush background.

We finished up the session with a few with this outfit and this is her favorite with this outfit. Thanks for looking!

A purple dress, clutch purse, cedars trees, and more

Along with Liz' cap and gown portraits we photographed her in her senior sweatshirt and senior top along with her dressy purple outfit that arrived too late for her first session.  Her purple dressy outfit went perfect with our black and white damask background as she held her black clutch purse she brought along as a prop. We changed from the damask background to our creamy canvas background that has a hint of colored hues mixed in.  We took advantage of the good weather outside to get Liz in her senior sweatshirt and jean skirt.  About the only thing in color outside right now are cedar trees which turned out to be a nice foreground and background element in one of her closeup images.  We recently painted one of our walls in our living room gold, and that turned out as a perfect match to the colors in her senior shirt outfit.  We made a collage with the two poses against the gold wall background and it is my favorite which is included below along with other favorites from her portrait session.  I am so looking forward to her next session that will be done in a beautiful and colorful spot in Kansas along with a stop at a small rural town.

Andrew's adorable 18-month old portraits

My, how fun and easy it was to capture Andrew's cute expressions for his 18-month portraits.  His sister didn't plan to take any portraits but after we got started she wanted to get in on the act!  We quickly moved from an orange chair against our brown background to match Andrew's olive colored suit and red hair, to some wooden steps, and then to a little preacher pose with the bible and vintage suitcase. While Andrew changed into his casual outfit, we switched to our popular white background and set up some teddy bears on a miniature red sofa, started throwing a ball and brought in our wooden horse rocker to keep Andrew active and happy!  We then grabbed the rocking horse and red wagon and headed outside to capture some quick shots of our cute little man before he got too cold!  His mom's favorites from his session are included below and I know you will enjoy viewing his adorable 18-month old portraits and a couple of his big sister!
