Ithamar's Cap & Gown, Senior Shirt, and Casual Portraits
Ithamar looked really sharp in his black and gold cap and gown that he wore with a black shirt and gold tie! I like how black clothing goes with our brown flexible background and used it also for his senior shirt that is also black and gold. We grabbed a quick outside shot with his senior shirt and the remaining session was with his casual outfit taken against a white background for the "killer shot" and then the rest we took outside on a overcast day. I warned Ithamar that it would probably be very muddy for his outside portraits and he said he didn't mind the muddy conditions and thought it would add to the effect! I admire Ithamar's positive attitude. I have included some of our favorites from Ithamar's session for you to enjoy!

Aurelia's stunning high school senior portraits
I am partial to Aurelia's session portraits as she wore my two favorite colors, yellow and blue. Her favorite color is red and we used a red background with some colored flowers to match to make a fun portrait. Apostolic Academy's 2015 senior high class will have black and gold for their cap and gown and Aurelia chose her graduation outfit with those same colors. She looks absolutely stunning in her outfits with her hair done up beautifully and I have included my favorites from her session for you to enjoy! Thanks to her brother Anthony for assisting by holding the relfector for the last three portraits shown!

Ithamar's Senior High Portraits ~ Part I
On the form that I have the high school seniors fill out, we ask them their favorites colors of which Ithamar said blue and orange were his favorite colors. The blue and orange colors were in his first outfit that he wore for his session. We used our flexible blue background first and made sure it was lit well so the blue would be bright to match his blue shirt. To get an orange background, we used our red background and tweaked the color to make it orange. During Ithamar's session, I got him to laugh and took a couple quick portraits of him laughing to show his true personality, as everyone that knows Ithamar, knows he likes to have a good time!!! Ithamar is scheduled for an outdoor session soon so be on the lookout for favorites from his next session.

Paper lanterns and a gorgeous high school senior!
I got tickled when Liz' mom kept saying "She's gorgeous! She's gorgeous!" during almost every pose during her session! I agree Liz looked absolutely gorgeous in her two beautiful outfits. Liz is quite the seamstress as she made the black jacket that went with her gold outfit. We used paper lanterns in her first image below. A friend of mine gave them to me as a gift; however, I must admit when I first got them I had no idea how I would use them. Recently I saw this portrait of a high school senior where she was surrounded by chandeliers and I thought that would be fun to use but knew I didn't want to invest in getting chandeliers installed. Then the thought hit me as I was preparing for this session and saw those paper lanterns in my studio, that I could use them in place of chandeliers! I really like how they matched her red/black/white outfit! We started with window light with the paper lanterns pose and used the opposite end of the studio for the remaining session with our black damask background, a gold flokati rug that I clamped to our background stands, then finished up with a our popular white background with white flooring. I have included my favorites from Liz' session for your viewing pleasure....
